Dysphagia is an impairment in swallowing, which may lead to weight loss, dehydration, choking, aspiration, and pneumonia. Swallowing disorders can result from many factors, including stroke, disease (Parkinson's, ALS, etc), cancer, acid reflux, structural issues (diverticulum/strictures), COPD, muscle tension, and even normal ageing.
